Sand Building Competition
Registration FROM 10:00 on the Main Beach.
Please only use natural materials found on the beach.
COMPETITION STARTS AT 10.30
There are 4 categories in the competition;
8 years old and under
9 - 15 years old
16 years old and over (Adult)
Family/Group
Prizes will be awarded for each separate category as follows;
1st - £10; 2nd - £6; 3rd - £4
The Glyn Vaughan Rose Bowl will be presented to a special merit winner for special effort

Barrel Filling Competition
To commence immediately following the sand building competition,
on the Main Beach.
First to fill a barrel with sand using a spade - barrels and spades provided.
Teams of four.
There are 3 categories in the competition;
10 years old and under 17 years old and over (Adult)
Prizes will be awarded for each separate category as follows;
1st - £12; 2nd - £8; 3rd - £4
11 - 16 years old
Treasure Quiz (sponsored by the late Nell & Mr David Highet)
To commence at 15:00, competitors should gather outside the
Harbourmaster’s Office at the top of the pier.
Children under 14 years old must be accompanied by an adult (18+).
Prizes will be awarded as follows;
1st - The Treasure Quiz Tankard, and £12; 2nd - £8; 3rd - £4
Odd Job Boat Race
A special 150th Regatta event: build it, float it, race it – the Odd Job Boat Race returns to the water for one year only!
A consent form must be completed for all children aged 16 and under
before they can participate in any of the events. Please scan the QR
code to access: forms can be submitted no more than 5 days before the
event takes place. If you have any questions, or need assistance, please
speak with one of the volunteers on the day.

between 09:30 - 11:30.

Inshore Sports trophies and prizes will be presented in the park at
approximately 18:30, followed by the President’s address and sailing awards

Conditions for Competitors
All competitors take part at their own risk.
Competitors must only compete in the events for their own age group.
Each race needs a minimum of two competitors; if not, the race will be cancelled.
Instructions for each race will be given at the start line—please listen carefully.
If an event has many entrants, qualifying heats may be held.
All competitors must sign up at the Inshore Events Table on the main pier between 09:30 and 11:30.
Any concerns or protests must be reported to the Regatta Committee at the Inshore Events Table within
10 minutes of the end of the race.
The Committee’s decision is final.
Trophies and medals will be awarded to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in each race.
Cups and Salvers awarded to 1st place remain the property of the Regatta Committee and must be
returned by 1st August of the following year.
Special Conditions - Rowing & Boards Events
Competitors must be competent at rowing, kayaking, bodyboarding or stand-up paddleboarding (as
applicable) to enter an event
Competitors must wear buoyancy aids in all rowing and stand-up paddleboard events
Competitors entering bodyboard races must not wear any buoyancy aids, wetsuits, rash vests or life
jackets
Only Rowing Boats are permitted in the rowing events - no beach inflatables
Special Conditions - Swimming Events
Competitors must be competent swimmers to enter an event
Competitors must not wear any swimming or buoyancy aids, including wetsuits, rash vests or life jackets
Cardigan Bay Watersports kindly donate the use of
6 Paddleboards and 6 Kayaks
for applicable races.

Briwydd Model Boat Competition
Rafts and Models to be constructed on Dolau Beach from 14:30, and then sailed!
Materials provided and instructions given. No synthetic materials to be used.
There are 3 categories in the competition;
1st - £10; 2nd - £6; 3rd - £4
The Southwinds Salver will be awarded for the best model overall!
