The Cardigan Bay Regatta is a three-day annual event, which organises sailing races
for all classes, with swimming races and fun events for children and families.
It is suitable for all the family with sandcastle building competitions on the first day.
New Quay is one of the oldest regattas in the UK, first being held in 1829;
the 2026 regatta will be the 150th Cardigan Bay Regatta!
Without the enthusiastic and keen participation of all the competitors the regatta would not
be able to continue.
Thank you to the Inshore Lifeboat and the beach lifeguards who support us and help to
make the Regatta a success. The Cardigan Bay Watersports centre assists the
Cardigan Bay Regatta with the use of 6 paddle boards and kayaks.

Our event is run entirely by a small, dedicated band of local volunteers and all our events
are funded through sponsorship,
the support of local businesses plus the kind donations of the public.
This is a non-profit organisation, organising events for all ages over a three day annual event.
